What we do

Housing help is fragmented across federal programs, local housing agencies, property managers, courts, nonprofits, and hotlines. We organize that landscape around a visitor’s real decision: where to start, what to prepare, what a program does, and what to do next.

Our guides prioritize plain language, official sources, practical caveats, and direct links. The site is designed for U.S. renters, applicants, families, seniors, people with disabilities, veterans, and anyone helping someone navigate a housing crisis.

What we do not do

We are not HUD, a public housing agency, a law firm, a housing provider, or a benefits administrator. We cannot accept applications, issue vouchers, check a waitlist position, guarantee eligibility, or provide legal advice.

How this site is funded

The site may display advertising through services such as Google AdSense. Advertising does not determine our editorial conclusions, source selection, or inclusion of programs. We do not charge visitors to access guides or official application links.

Accountability

Every program guide names its sources and update date. Our editorial policy explains how we research and update content. If you find an error or broken resource, please use our corrections process.
